Self-taught and passionate about painting, Daniel Njoroge’s journey began with his childhood experiences among the Embu community at the slopes of Mount Kenya, the only snow-capped mountain on the equator. Acclaimed Works and Exhibitions
Daniel Njoroge’s fine arts are celebrated for their meticulous attention to detail and lifelike portrayal of African wildlife, culture and people. Njoroge’s art is featured in various prestigious places such as Kenya’s Presidential State House in Nairobi, the Kenya National Archives, the National Museums of Kenya, Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club, and the William Holden Wildlife Foundation, run by Stephanie Powers as the President and Don Hunt as the Vice President. Additionally, Daniel’s work is displayed at the Kenyan Parliament building Nairobi, where he painted all the speakers of the National Parliament from 1967 to 2010, a historical project that was designed to help to tell the story of the Kenya Parliament’s history. In 2019 he was among the top Kenyan artists selected to showcase art pieces at the Safaricom Art Exhibition. His authentic market scene themed artwork was also featured in the Safaricom’s annual, “This Is My Kenya campaign” that same year.

Through art, he has worked with and supported the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari club under the world’s first Mountain Bongo Sanctuary, in their efforts to save the animal from extinction. Daniel also dedicated his time to paint a portrait of Sudan, the world’s last male northern white rhino, that died in 2018, in his renewed commitment to raise awareness on the conservation and protection of rhinos in Africa through art. Through his continuous efforts and partnerships, Daniel hopes that by capturing the beauty of wildlife on canvas, he can motivate others to protect these magnificent creatures and their habitats.
